UCC SRC Launches a "New Campus Experience App"

The Student Representative Council of University of Cape Coast has launched a new SRC APP for easy dissemination of information and interaction between the SRC and the student populace.

The App, which was developed by Owatech Innovations Ghana, is a buildup of the previous SRC App which has features incorporated into it to make it more informative, educative and entertaining.

The new features include Pasco hub; where students can access all the past questions available on campus, joint locator; which makes it easy for first years to locate places on campus and the news feed which has the feature of twitter to share moments with friends.

Other features include the executive section, announcement and many others.

Speaking to ATL FM News, the Lead Software Engineer of Owatech innovations, Daniel Owusu Ansah, explained that the App is labeled New Campus Experience App as the new features added to the App is to make students' stay on campus less stressful and more interactive.

He noted that the app is one of the best app that has been created in the country and as such urged students to make maximum use of it.

On her part, the Vice President of the SRC, Yvonne Ashong stated that the idea to build the app was borne out of the need to maintain the former App which she explained was redundant and needed upgrade for effective Student-SRC interaction.

She reiterated the benefits of the App, adding that “it is going to be a hall mark which other people are going to look up to, to build their own.”

Miss Yvonne also explained it will go a long way to promote the image of the SRC and the University at large.

She therefore asked that students use the platform to make their grievances known to the SRC as well as promote their academic performance through the various academic features provided on the App.
